Surgical Retina Specialist

Brent Deibert, MD

Brent Deibert, M.D. is a fellowship-trained surgical retina specialist, focusing on surgical and medical treatments for disease of the macula, retina, and the vitreous.

Dr. Deibert grew up in northwest Kansas spending each summer on his father’s custom harvesting crew cutting crops from the Texas panhandle to the Dakotas.

After playing football at Garden City Community College and Kansas Wesleyan University, he earned his dual undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Kansas Wesleyan University.  After college, he spent four years in wildlife biology on both coasts of the United States before entering medical school at University of Kansas. Dr. Deibert met his wife in orientation before they both started their third year of medical school. They then went to the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she completed her internal medicine residency, and he completed his ophthalmology residency. During his last year of residency, they were lucky enough to have a beautiful baby boy. Shortly after their son was born, they moved to Winston-Salem North Carolina for his surgical retina fellowship at Wake Forest University.

Dr. Deibert is excited to join Boulder Eye Surgeons and provide retina care to Boulder and the Denver Metro Area. His hobbies include weightlifting, rock climbing, hiking, and snowboarding.
