I would rate Boulder Eye Surgeons as a five star office. Their practice has excellent customer service, and I am treated with respect and not like a baby (seems to accompany one as we age). Staff is top notch, and Dr. Nichols is highly skilled, kind and attentive, and takes time to thoroughly explain things.
EDIT: Boulder Eye Surgeons reached out to me after this review and resolved the issue. They said they will improve their processes so this doesn't happen in the future. I went here for a free Lasik exam (I have screenshots of every step of this process proving it was free) and initially everything was great. It was busy, but everyone was friendly and personable and the exam seemed thorough. They said I was eligible for Lasik. I had a second exam scheduled for later that day though, so I went expecting the same answer. Instead they STRONGLY recommended against Lasik. So then I went to 2 more clinics. Both recommended against Lasik as well. Boulder Eye Surgeons/Panorama Lasik was still on the table though, since they could do PRK which some of the clinics recommended. However, I got a call from my regular optometrist to schedule an in-depth exam for Boulder Eye Surgeons and I deferred for the time being, saying I was getting some second opinions. Now, I don't know if this is a coincidence, but not long after this call, Boulder Eye Surgeons issued a $200+ bill to me, so it seems like they heard I was talking to other clinics and sent me a bill at that point. Again, this is for a FREE exam and I have proof of that from every step of the process. I called their billing department and got sent to voicemail and have received no response for several days.
Wonderful staff, had a lovely experience going to Boulder Eye. From scheduling to my appointment the staff took great care of me, I have nothing but good things to say about Boulder Eye. Thank you!
Dr. Lara was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, and she really went above and beyond helping me quickly reach the correct diagnosis, coordinate my care, and access tricky referrals. Strongly recommend!
Dr. Cuevas is personable and very likable. He answers questions so you understand. And his office folks are very likable too. So glad he was recommended to me.
The staff took very good care of me when I visited for an abrasion on my cornea. After this visit I am now going to them for my annual exam because they were so nice.
Dr. Keller and his staff are very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I honestly feel like I am the only patient in the office when I know there are many other patients in the various exam rooms. I am completely confident with their care.
The optical department where I get my glasses and lenses gives outstanding customer service as well. Susan is always very helpful with selecting frames, and assisting me when I need assistance. Overall this an excellent, customer service oriented group. Ed Withers

The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. They take great care of you. My nurse Jane was so caring & awesome. She obviously really cares about her patients & wants to support them through the process.
My visit with Dr. Keller and his staff provided me with a very efficient and positive experience. Susan Pyfer assisted me with a new pair of glasses. Susan was so very knowledgeable and helpful.
An efficiently run organization. For a large facility, it felt surprisingly personal.
Appointment early, Matthew was very thorough and professional. New Dr. Summer Lara was excellent.
Dr Keller has seen me annually since 1995 and during my annual appointment this year, Dr Keller diagnosed Wet Macular Degeneration in the Left Eye and the beginning in my Right Eye. Once he recognized the disease, he immediately referred me to Colorado Retina Association. I have a consultation there on Jan 3rd, 2023. Dr Keller is uber-professional and reacts immediately to any issue.
Wonderful office! They were able to work me in when I needed an appointment. The professional and care provided are second to none.
Can't say enough good things about Boulder Eye Surgeons. My cataracts got bad enough to be removed very quickly and my optometrist referred me to BES, Dr. Cuevas, specifically. I got an appt quickly and had the fist cataract removed (also) quickly. Then covid happened my 2d cat. removal was cancelled; but, rescheduled the same week as the new facility opened. Surgery went w/o a hitch. Thank you BES and Dr. Cuevas.
Is always nice to seeing Doctor Cuevas. Also, the gentleman that helped me yesterday, was so super amazing. He explained me everything very well. I don’t remember he’s name, but he deserves a very big reward, he was super good.

I had treatment for glaucoma, followed by cataract surgery; easy, efficient, great follow-up care; and my questions were answered with information and respect.
